Books for Sustainable Living

Having a collection of reference books for any topics you’re interested in is never a bad idea. For me it’s gardening, crafts and cooking. I’m also interested in knowing ways to be self-sufficient during times of natural disasters, a slow economy or an overall chaotic society (you never know what might happen!).

I’ve put together a small group of books that teach how to use your own two hands and a little planning to create a heather and more independent lifestyle.

Living in the tight suburbs of Long Island may not offer me the luxuries of trying out everything I find in my books, but they still give me the knowledge I need and the inspiration to one day head out to more open country.
